Myanma Thaing demonstration, Bando (attack) contest concludes
YANGON, 31 March — Chairman of Myanmar Olmpic Committee Minister for Sports Brig-Gen Thura Aye Myint watched final events of Myanma Thaing demonstration and Bando (attack) contest and attended its prize presentation ceremony at National Indoors Stadium-1, Thuwunna, this morning.
Also present on the occasion were officials of the Ministry of Sports, Chairperson of Work Committee for Myanmar Women’s Sports Federation Daw Aye Aye and members, President of Myanmar Thaing Federation Police Brig-Gen Than Han and executives, guests and fans.
Before the final events of Bando (attack) contest, Myanma selections and Thaing professional players of states and divisions demonstrated Myanma Thaing skills.
After the final events, winners were awarded prizes. First, group leader of art of self-defence from the Rassian Federation Mr Victor Smirnov presented cash donation of US $ 300 to President of Myanmar Thaing Federation Police Brig-Gen Than Han.
Next, the minister presented cash prizes to winners Ba Thaung (Bago Division), Phan Te (Kachin State), Sai Win Thu Hein of Shan State (South) and Win Min Htut (Defence) in men’s 61-65 kilos event. Afterwards, officials presented prizes to winners.
